Jewell Dean Pennington Cox, age 76 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Tennova Residential Hospice facility in Knoxville, TN. Born April 3, 1940 in Stearns, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Anna Hall Pennington.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her child: Teeny Cox; grandson: C. J. Humfleet; brothers and sisters: Noel Pennington, Brenda West, Joyce Trosper, Denzil Pennington and Jim Pennington; and one brother-in-law: Willard Stephens.

She is survived by her children: Philishia Crum and husband John of New Richmond, OH, Kassie Cox of Covington, KY, Kimberly Humfleet of Winfield, TN; grandchildren: Shasta Ponder, Tristen Cox, Tracey Cox, Casey Cox, Dakota Humfleet, River Humfleet, Kyla Shepherd, Daniel Pike; great grandchildren: Lyndi Ponder, Jaxen Manzi, Tobi Cox, Sophia Ponder, Jaiden Humfleet, Jacee Pike, Hunter Miller, Brentlee Cox; step-children: Ronnie Cox and wife Darlene of Eli, KY, Greg Cox and wife Pat of Russell Springs, KY, Debbie Cox of Taylor Mill, KY and Crystal Collins of Corbin, KY; brothers and sisters: Paul Pennington and wife Linda of Winfield, Wanda Ashcraft and husband Anthony of Cincinnati, OH, Hoey Pennington of Oneida, Willa Sexton and husband Bobby of Robbins, TN, Carolyn Stephens of Oneida, and Angela Pennington-Holloway and husband Ricky of Dalton, GA; as well as many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Cox family on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Barnes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Trosper-Jeffers Cemetery in the Black Oak Community. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Pike, Tracey Cox, Casey Cox, George Trosper, Chris Stephens and Jackie Pennington. Jones & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Jewell Dean Pennington Cox.
