William Henley (Bill) Blevins, age 76 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, with his loving family by his side following a brief illness. Born January 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Tirl Monroe and Florence Elizabeth West Blevins. He was a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church since 1958, served in the United States Army and Army National Guard, and worked for Ballard Construction Co. for many years before retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Flora Elizabeth Blevins; brother: Roy Earl Blevins; brothers-in-law: Norman L. Crabtree and Harold C. Chambers.
Bill is survived by his sisters: Ramona M. Crabtree, Mary E. Chambers, and Beverly J. Blevins (Eugene); brothers: Robert T. ‘Bubby’ Blevins, Joseph 'Joe' Blevins (Wanda), and John N. Blevins; several nieces and nephews and their families, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The family would like to thank everyone for all their support, phone calls, food, text messages, and especially their prayers, and all the doctors, nurses, CNAs, Buckeye Medical Staff, and Hospice workers involved in his care.
Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by: Monroe Thompson.
Committal service will follow in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Keith and Dudley Crabtree, Kelley Blevins, Jason Chambers, Gene Bottoms, John Blevins, Devin and Chase Crabtree, and Caleb Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jerry Lay, Jason Perry, Jimmy Trammell, Roger Stephens, Mike Douglas, and all his other Winfield buddies.
