Verlon Caldwell

Verlon Caldwell, age 90, of Helenwood, TN departed his earthly home on July 11, 2022, at Cumberland Village in Lafollette, TN, surrounded by his family. Born March 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Jake and Princess Farmer Caldwell.

In addition to his parents, Verlon was preceded in death by his wife: Cora Smith Caldwell; children: Ricky Caldwell, Teresa Bridges, Sharon Boyatt, and Wendell Caldwell; several brothers and sisters.

Verlon is survived by his children: Cathy Caldwell, Loretta Thompson, Anita Barrett and husband John, Randall Caldwell and wife Teresa, Karen Crabtree, Darlene Ray and husband Darrell, Wanda King and husband Luke, Wesley Caldwell and Mark Caldwell; 23 grandkids: Shonda, Aaron, Tony, Christina, Kristen, Brandon, Monica, Brittany, Tanner, Jerrod, Amber, Christy, Miranda, Derick, Devin, Danielle, Daniel, Lucas, Laciena, Addision, Cody, Kelsie, and Jake; 34 great-grandkids; several great, great grandkids; as well as many other family members and friends.

Family and friends may visit with the Caldwell family on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Caldwell and Bro. Ray Woods officiating. Music will be provided by the Singing Hambys and Johnny Lloyd.

Committal service will follow in Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood, TN. Pallbearers will be: Tanner Bridges, Prestin Bee, Ethan Mayberry, Jordyn Williams, Cody Caldwell,  Devin Crabtree, Brextyn Williams, and Daniel Ray; Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jerrod Williams and Ben Troxell.
