Susie Elizabeth Strunk Lawson

Susie Elizabeth Strunk Lawson, age 94 of the Fairview Community passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Born in Scott County, TN on February 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Jehu and Rachel Boshears Strunk. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Michael Lawson; infant son, Curtis Ray Lawson; daughter, Teresa Ann Lawson Wood; stepson, Paul Meredith Lawson and wife Lela Faye; brothers, Willie, Delmus and Clois; sisters, Artie, Bertie, Florence and Elsie.

Susie is survived by her children, Clifton (Willie) Lawson and Sharon (Michael) Marlow; grandchildren, Wade (Beth) Lawson, Tim Lawson, Karen (Tony) Hutson, Jason Lawson, Mark (Tammy) Lawson, Martina Wood and Trevor (Colleen) Wood; great-grandchildren, Lucas Chambers, Summer Chambers, Destiny Lawson, Markus Lawson, Nick Lawson and Jake Lawson; very special friends, Connie and Jimmy Swisher, Betty Williams and Deborah Washam; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Lawson family on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Lowe and Bro. Michael Ray Jeffers officiating. Music will be provided by Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.

Committal service will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in the Fairview Community. Pallbearers will be: Jason, Mark and Markus Lawson, Lucas Chambers, Trevor Wood and Jimmy Swisher. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wade and Tim Lawson, WT and Dean Strunk.
