Sarah E. Green

Sarah E. Green, age 90 of Pioneer, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at her home. She was born in Carrol County, TN on March 11, 1933.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin John Green; mother, Evie Nelson; father, Rev. James Wade Nelson and Beulah Nelson; daughters, Wanda Gail West, Florence Belle Nelson; brothers, Estel Lee Nelson and Joe Edward Nelson; sister, Frances Josephine Nelson; grandkids, Letha Mae West, Linday Sarah West, Tonja Denise West, Tyler Blevins, George Odell Green, Johnny Odell Green, Quinton Dewayne Miller, Brannon Phillips, and Anna Mae Rose Seiber; and son-in-law, Jesse Morgan.

Sarah is survived by her daughters, Anna Maggie Lee Nelson, Evie Wray West and husband Junior West, Stella Frances Morgan, Mary Elizabeth Richardson and husband Bobby Richardson, Elsie Mae Crumpley and husband Warren Crumpley, Nella Faye Green; son, Johnny Wade Green; nephew, Bobby Joe Nelson; sister, Nannie Wray Washam; a host of grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank all the hospice and CNA staff for their help.

Friends may visit with the Green family on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Lowe and Rev. Bill Pace officiating. Music will be provided by Angeletta Pace.

Committal service will follow in the Nelson Green Cemetery in the Pioneer community. Pallbearers will be: Dougie Nelson, Bossie Green, Johnny Harness, Michael Seiber, Adam Coffey, and Williard West.
