Rev. Milford Eugene Terry Obituary

Rev. Milford Eugene Terry, age 89 of Oneida, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born in Oneida, TN on February 28, 1933, he was the son of the late Lester and Bertha (Thomas) Terry. He was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church and was the pastor at Leatherwood Baptist Church for many years. He began preaching at the age of 21, for a total of 67 years. His most important thing in life was sharing his love for Jesus and testifying to everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Garrett Terry; brother, Curtis Terry; daughter, Linda Terry; stepson, Roger Jeffers; fathers and mothers-in-law, Clayton and Flonnie Goad Garrett and Caney and Maudie Blevins Terry; brothers-in-law, Stanford Garrett, James Terry, and Theodore Terry; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Young, Mae Terry, and Shelby Terry.

Milford is survived by his wife, Lola Terry; brothers, Hollis Terry and Sharon, Jerry Terry, Harold Terry and Carol, Dennis Terry and Joan; daughters, Sandra Duncan and Arnold and Sharon Arnold; stepchildren, Tonya Jeffers, Rhonda Jeffers, Regina Cooper and Glen, Vince Jeffers and Mary; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 special great, great grandson, Clayton Byrd; brothers-in-law, Clifford Garrett and Onlee, Harlan Terry, J.D. Terry, and Cordell Terry; sister-in-law, Bonnie Miller; special friend, Travis Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Terry family on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Kyle Keeton officiating. Music will be provided by David and Felecia Walker.

Committal service will follow in the Mt. Helen Cemetery in Allardt, TN. Pallbearers will be: William Duncan, Johnny Lloyd, Connor Byrd, Colby Sexton, Hunter Cooper, Kenny Jeffers, and Travis Phillips.
