Phillip Ray Adkins

Phillip Ray Adkins, age 72, of Winona, TN, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born October 1, 1950, he was the son of Sherman and Bertha Lawson Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Virginia Harness Adkins; brothers:  Dennis, Glad and Todd; sisters:  Ivalee, JoAnn, Bertie Mae, Florence and Jean.

Phillip is survived by his children:  Joe Adkins (Rena) of Straight Fork, John Adkins (Rhonda) Adkins of West Oneida, and Jeremy Adkins (Connie) of Straight Fork; grandchildren:  Josh Adkins (Mackenzie), Jared Adkins (Shay), Johnathan Adkins (Ansley), Haley Adkins Yancey (Blake), Jeremiah Adkins (Shyann), Trey Whaley (Makayla), Chelsea Carson (Brandan), Isaiah Whaley, and Elijah Whaley; great grandchildren:  Caleb, Abigail, Korbin, Jansen, Willow, Renley, Araceli, Allie, Casen, and Cohen; mother of his children:  Juanita Adkins; sister:  Wilma Martin; brother:  Paul David Adkins; special niece:  Darlene Lay; special cousin:  Donna Boshears; extended family:  Keith Harness, Shanda Davis (Roger), Rob Harness (Christy), and grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Adkins family on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
