Pamela Willette Abrams Obituary

Pamela Willette (Payne) Abrams was born in Oneida, Tennessee on August 30, 1957, to parents Willard Payne and Carol (Hatfield) Payne. Her parents preceded her in death this year. Willard passed away in January and Carol passed away in August 2022.

Pam bravely fought breast cancer for years. She joined her parents in heaven on October 13, 2022 surrounded by her immediate family and one of her grandsons. Pam inspired many people with an enthusiastic spirit, positive attitude, bigger-than-life personality, and a huge heart. Her smile lit up a room and her friends and family will carry many wonderful memories in their hearts. Her light will shine through those she loved.

Pamela Willette (Payne) Abrams was married to Luttie (Butch) Burton Abrams Jr. on September 1, 1973. In addition to her husband, Butch, she is survived by her brother, Kevin Glen Payne and daughters, Carolyn (Shawn) Abrams and Natasha Lynn Harmon (Justin). Her grandsons were her pride and joy. She whole-heartly loved Hunter Jedele, Brayden Harmon and Bryce Harmon.  Pam was thrilled to welcome great grandchild, Brantley Jedele in 2020 and Shyanne Crews in 2021. She was a pro at cuddling newborns and spoiling them with gifts.

Pam loved beaches, pools, boats, parties, vacations, camping, zoos, holidays, the Indy 500, Harley Davidsons, football (Colts and Bucs), family, friends, and her four-legged best friends, her dogs, and all dogs in general. She was a hairdresser by trade but bringing fun to those she loved better describes her work. She was the expert in creating an experience. The Abrams’ house was very inviting, thanks to Pam’s welcoming spirit. The house was always buzzing with neighborhood kids, relatives, and many others.

Her family held a Celebration of Life in honor of Pam. She was such a force and celebrating her life in a grandiose fashion seemed very fitting. She was honored in two states:  Florida and Indiana.
