Odis Riley Jeffers, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Odis was born on October 2, 1932, in the Buffalo community. In 1958, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he worked as a diesel mechanic and raised his family.
Odis was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Walteen Gunther (Jeffers); his parents, Arvilee and Lassie Jeffers; his brothers, Paul and Eddie; sisters, Wanda, Nadine, Wilma, and Thelma; granddaughter, Heather Marie; and great granddaughter, Praylee.
He is survived by his children, Odis Charles (Sue), Wanda Loretta Miller (Bill), Dwight Wayne Jeffers; special grandson, Dwight Wayne Jeffers II; brothers, Buddy and Arthur Jeffers; sisters, Nora Young and Kay McCann; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Odis will best be remembered by his love of scratch-off lottery tickets and Jeep riding with his son-in-law, Bill.

Friends may visit with the Jeffers family on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. James Roberts officiating. Music will be provided by Tom Payne.
Committal service will follow in the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
