Mrs. Mona K. (Jones) Lowe, born May 7, 1960. Passed over Tuesday, August 29, 2023, to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was saved by Grace on October 30, 1976, and was a member of Nicks Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowe was an avid reader of the Bible, which she studied and read every day. She enjoyed cooking, which she was famous for her homemade peanut butter fudge. She enjoyed life to the fullest; loved her friends, family, and neighbors.
Mrs. Mona was preceded in death by loving parents: Mr. Ralph and Mrs. Mona Cloeva (Bertram) Jones; brother: Ralph Timothy Jones; special grandparents: Mr. Albert H. and Stella Clouse Bertram, Mr. Doc and Mrs. Minnie Shepard Jones; special nephew: infant Milford L. (Bubby) Jones; special cousin: Sherrie Lea Bertram; brother-in-law: David P. Bell, Haskel Stewart; uncles: Windle Bertram, Ray Tilson, Rufus jones and wife Auda Mae Jones.
Mrs. Mona is survived by her loving husband and best friend: Arthur David Lowe of 28 years; brother: Mike and wife Sherry Jones and Milford and Rena Jones. She is also survived by her sister: Denita Stewart and friend: Millard Riseden. Mrs. Lowe is also survived by special family: Mark, Dara, Lydia, Jerah, Job, and George Kline; Mrs. Lowe’s special Guardian Angel: Dara Kline and special friends (Bestie) Trina and Rick Terry; special nephews: Greg Bell, Timothy Jones, Arvil L. Bell, and Tyler Jones; great nieces and nephews: Praylee, Kendra and David Bell; uncles: Charles and wife Lois Bertram and Junior Bertram; aunt: Janette Tilson.
A special thank you to FNP Jackie Wilson Sharp of Mountain People’s Norma Clinic, Thompson Oncology Group in Oakridge, and Covenant Hospice of Knoxville, TN. Also, a special thank you to Rev. Ledford Byrd and Ada Byrd for the music, and Linda and Marcie for doing hair, make-up, and nails.
Friends may visit with the Lowe family on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ledford Byrd. Music will be provided by Ada Byrd.
Committal service will follow in the Litton Cemetery in Oneida, TN Pallbearers will be: Charles Bertram, Wayne Bertram, Mike Jones, Mark Kline, Job Kline and Sherwood Hembree. Honorary pallbearers will be: Eddie Honeycutt, George Kline and Rick Terry.
