Lounova Sexton Obituary

Lounova Swaney Sexton, age 84, departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2024, at his home in Huntsville TN surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was the son of the late Edward Shine Swaney and Arthona Louise Coffey. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; and was the owner and CEO of the family's business, Sexton's Electric Heating and Refrigeration for 44 years, from 1974 to 2016 alongside his wife Louise and son Shane.

In addition to his parents, He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Louise Sexton, great-grandsons, Jonah and Josiah: brothers, James and Tony Coffey: son-in-law Gary Foster.

Lounova is survived by his wife, Billie (Cookie) Sexton: Children: Tammy Cross and husband Herb, Nova Taylor and husband Dean, Regina Walters and husband Todd, and Shane Sexton and his Wife Angel. Grandchildren: Austin Sexton and fiancee Destiny, Dusty Sexton and wife Hannah, Amber Huber and husband David, Heather Roberts and husband Chad, Chris Cotton and Fiancee Jessica, and Jonathan Cotton and wife McKelia. Great Grandchildren: Harper Huber, Roz Huber, Carlee Roberts, Ellie Huber, Taylor Roberts, Aleighana Cotton, Zoey Cotton, Liam Hale, Caleb Cotton, Roman Sexton, Draxton Sexton, Stone Sexton, Shaya Cotton, Jace Cotton, Haven Cotton, Adaleigh Cotton, Siblings: Claudette Smith and husband Rob, Carletta Thomas and husband Jack, and Claudia Tilman and husband Andy, Many Nieces and Nephews and Friends. And a special thank you to Dr. Tim Smith and staff, Quality Hospice Care Oneida Nursing & Rehab, and caregivers, Teresa West and Brenda Smith. 

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial service at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Davis officiating.

Inurnment services will follow at the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.

Lounova's request was cremation.
