Lola Faye Terry, age 75 of Oneida, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. Born August 23, 1948, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Caney and Maudie Terry.
Lola was saved on June 29, 1961, and baptized July 6, 1961, by Von Burress at the Dexter Laxton Pond. She was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life and the father of her children: Roger (Ken) McKinley Jeffers I; son: Roger McKinley Jeffers II; in-laws: Earl and Evie Jeffers, Alfred and Melody Jeffers; brothers: J.D Terry and wife Lois. James Terry, Theodore and Ruth Terry; sisters: Mae Reynolds, and Dorothy and Bill Young; brothers-in-law: Ron, Wayne Keith and Russell Jeffers; and sister-in-law: Waudean Taylor.
Lola is survived by her children whom she cherished: Regina and Glen Cooper, Rhonda and Wallace Walker, Tonya Jeffers and Jr. Moore, and Vince and Mary Jeffers; grandchildren: Brittany and Dwayne Carroll, Kelsey and Peter Floss, Hunter Cooper, Skyler West, Megan West, Colby and Whitney Sexton, Sam and Jake Duncan, Sienna Jeffers and fiancé Shawn Shelton, Kenny Jeffers, Caleb Cross, and Hannah Cross and fiancé Chase; 16 great grandchildren: Chloe, Solara, Mallory, Aiden, Khloe, Karleigh, Kaden, Keelie, Keyser, Kaylee, Elli, Issac, Ezra, Lillie, Ethan and Bryer; brothers: Harlin and Jewell Terry, and Cordell and Ovie Terry; sister: Bonnie Miller; brothers-in-law: Rodney and Carolyn Jeffers, Robert Jeffers, Roy Jeffers, Steve and Betty Jeffers, and Gary and Elaine Jeffers; sisters-in-law: Phyllis and Jim York, Olamae Jeffers, and Judy Goins; special nephew: Stevie Young, special niece: Shannon Hagood; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Terry family on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Ashley Cooper officiating.
Committal Service will follow in the Peaceful Rose Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Hunter Cooper, Dwayne Carroll, Colby Sexton, Kenny Jeffers, Jr. Moore, David Sexton, Jake Duncan, Shawn Shelton, Stevie Young, and Wallace Walker.
