Joe Daugherty

Joe Daugherty, age 68, passed away at his home on Friday, June 12, 2026.  Born January 12, 1958, he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Lorene Braden Daugherty.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother:  Nick Daugherty; and mother-in-law:  Ruth Ward Cross.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 27 years:  Mary Daugherty; his kids, that were his world:  Cheyanne Daugherty, and Jake (Ahlivia) Daugherty; his precious grandson:  Rayden Joseph; and granddaughter, who is on the way:  Wrenley Grace; sisters:  Judy (Mike) Thomas, Ann Mansfield (Philip); Vicky Poindexter (Arnold), and Stacy Daugherty; father-in-law:  Odale Cross; brother-in-law:  Mikel Cross (Becky); special friends:  Tim West, Howard Ellis, David Marlar, Tommy Litton, Robert Marcum, and Charlie Koger; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Daugherty family on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Boyatt officiating.  Music will be provided by Natalie Cross.

Committal service will follow in the River View Cemetery in the Smokey Junction Community.  Pallbearers will be:  Caden Litton, Bailey Goodman, Landon Daugherty, Mikel Don Cross, Jaxson Cross and Michael Terry.
