James Bridges

James Earl Bridges, age 76 of Oneida, TN passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born in Oneida, TN on September 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Rev. Earl and Elsie Marcum Bridges. James was a long-time member of the Pine Creek United Baptist Church. He was also a devout University of TN fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Ethel Laxton Bridges and Fred E. and Rosa King Marcum; his sister, Debra Ann Bridges Honeycutt; brothers-in-law, Charles B. Beets and Onvie and Ernest Honeycutt.

James is survived by his sister, Brenda Bridges Beets; three nephews, Charles Kenyon, Matthew James, and Jonathan Delmas Beets; one aunt, Jean Marcum; several cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Creek United Baptist Church choir.
