Henry Clay (Herman) Blevins, age 70 of the Capital Hill Community in Huntsville, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 11, 2022, at his home. Born August 12, 1951, he was the son of the late Willard Blevins and Bertha Watson. Herman was a member of the Capital Hill Baptist Church, and spent a lot of his time in past years in the woods, logging and driving a truck for the Strunk Bros. and Payne Bros. He also enjoyed his morning and evening porch time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Janie Ellen Blevins; son: Henry Edward Blevins; brother: R. D. Blevins; sisters: Linda England, Sheila Jeffers and Waldine Taylor; special nephew: Arvel Belvins.
Herman is survived by his son: Ronnie Blevins (Brandy) of Oneida; daughters: Michelle Autry (Allen) of Oneida, Laurie Bennett (Brian) of Knoxville, Amanda Lackey (David) of Oneida, Christy Bond (Chris) of the Straight Fork Community, and Misty Robbins (Drew); 24 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister: Sharon Silcox; brother: Johnny Blevins (Freda); special niece Brenda Harness; a special nephew: Jerry Sexton; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Dudley Harness officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Singers.
Committal service will follow in the Harness Cemetery in Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Braxton, Andrew, Trevor, Jake, Robbie, Tristin, Drew, Chris, Chase, and David. Honorary Pallbearers: Allen, Brian, and Sean.
