Floyd Silcox

Floyd Silcox, age 78 of the Norma community, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home. Born in Scott County, TN on June 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Oscar and Janis Newport Silcox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lodena Silcox, M.B. Silcox, Glennis Silcox Brock, Odis Silcox, Helen Sue Silcox Webb, Charlene Silcox Catrine, and Arvil Silcox; grandson, Jordan Silcox; granddaughter, Nicole Hatfield; and sons-in-law, Eugene Crabtree and Charlie Hatfield.

Floyd is survived by his children, Marva Hatfield, Denise and Willie Henry, Floyd Silcox, Jr., Lisa Crabtree, Franklin Silcox, Shay Silcox, Michelle Webb and Aaron, and Tosha Overton and Adam; special friends, Mark and Jamie Byrd and Madge Overton; 23 grandkids; 23 great grandkids; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 12 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by MaKayla West.

His request was cremation.
