Eric Scott Griffith

Eric Scott Griffith, age 45 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Big South Fork Medical Center.  Born December 30, 1976, he was the son of the late Harold Dean and Ila Jane Kirby Griffith.  Eric was a member of the Lone Mountain Baptist Church; and an employee of Highland Telephone Cooperative for 12 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Boyant Sexton, and Harlo and Elsie Kirby; and father-in-law:  Charles P. Jeffers.

Eric is survived by his wife:  Jill Ann Jeffers Griffith; son:  Eric Zane Griffith; daughters:  Bayleigh Jane Ann Griffith, and Lydia Kay Griffith; brother:  David Griffith and wife Polly; sister:  Connie Crampton and husband J. T.; grandmother:  Opal Sexton; brother-in-law:  Derek Jeffers and wife Karen; mother-in-law:  Sandra Jeffers; nephews:  Dustin and Nathan Griffith, Jake Crampton and wife Sara, Chuck Jeffers and wife Jessica, Michael Jeffers and wife Kayla, Gary Jeffers and wife Elizabeth, and Gabriel Jeffers and wife Shelley; nieces:  Bree Jeffers, Brook Jeffers and husband Adam, and Hannah Duncan and husband Dustin; 9 great nieces; one great nephew and 3 unborn; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and his Highland Telephone Cooperative family.

Friends may visit with the Griffith family on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Terry officiating.  

Committal service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. in the Lone Mountain Cemetery.  Serving as Pallbearers: Adam Queener, Tim Erwin, Skyler Walker, Dakota Smith, Steven Limburg, Stacey Sexton, Todd Koger, and Darriel Watters.
