Dean Chambers Obituary

Joe Dean Chambers, age 63 of Oneida, TN departed this life on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Scott County, TN on March 19, 1960, he was the son of the late Milford "Spizz" Chambers and Geraldine Byrd Kidd. Dean was saved at an early age.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Wilma Spradlin and Mildred Crabtree; one niece, Tina King; one nephew, Hunter Newport; in-laws, Jack Smith and Louthia Smith; great grandparents, Levi and Winnee Chambers and Lawrence and Alice Byrd.

Dean is survived by his devoted wife of 14 years, Gail Chambers; children, Heather Ross, Toshie Chambers, Robert Chambers and wife Tambra Chambers, Christopher and wife Kinna Smith, Jonathan Smith; nieces, nephews and grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Shianna, Bryson, Autumn, Nevaeh, Gracie, Kambryn, Malakhi Smith, Khamyle Smith, Khymber Smith, Olivia Smith, Alex Chambers, Kalijah Chambers, Taren Chambers, Teonna, Shayleah, MaKayla, Haddon, Saevyn, Graesyn, Kaesyn, and Bowen; great grandson, Jacob; sisters, Caroline Mills and husband Ronald of Oneida, Alice Pointer of Nashville, TN; brothers, Richard Chambers of Georgia, Dillis Chambers and wife Janet of Oneida, Anthony Chambers and Laura of Nashville, TN; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chambers family on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Webb and Bro. Paul Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the West Oneida Church choir.

Committal service will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Danuel Robbins, David Houdeshell, Robert Chambers, Jonathan Smith, Billy Hammock, Anthony Chambers, Zack Smith, and special nephew Matt Chambers.
