Cheryl Strunk Obituary

Cheryl Elene (Adkins) Strunk, age 57 of the Fairview Community, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 7, 1964, to the late Billy Ray Adkins and the late Marsha Ruth (Sexton) Adkins. She was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Leonis and Lucille (Thomas) Sexton, Thomas Adkins, and Alene Adkins Seiber; father and mother-in-law: Charles and Macel Strunk; brother-in-law: Edward Harness and her lifelong best friend: Delayne (Stephens) Dodson. 

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 41 years, Chester Strunk; son: Chesty Strunk (wife Miranda); daughter: Amber Duncan (husband Wesley); grandchildren: Cole (Jenny), Praylee, Caleb, Kolton, Josie and Kaceton; great grandson: Waylon; sister: Darlene Sexton (husband Mike) brothers-in-law: Randy Strunk (Sherry), Chuck Strunk (Amanda); sisters-in-law: Janet Gibson (Mark), Lois Mason (Rhondy), Brenda Harness; special nieces: Gretta Lowe (Mickey), Aleisha Sexton (Timmy); special great nieces: Kylie Silcox (Brent), Kyra Ellis, Zoey and Evie Neal; special great-great niece and nephew: Knoxx and Kora Silcox; her beloved dog best friend: Daisy; special friends: Nadine Duncan, Jane Shoopman, Roxanna Short and Sheila Sexton; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A very special thank you to Dr. James Wolfenbarger FNP-BC at Tennessee Cancer Specialists, for always going the extra mile to ensure she was taken care of for the last 13 years.

Friends may visit with the Strunk family on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Sexton and Bro. Brian Strunk officiating. Music will be provided by Trisha Washam and Stacey (Washam) Bell.

Committal service will follow in the Norma Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David (Blue) Day, Timmy Neal, Brent Silcox, Rick Goodman, Landon Bowling and Aaron Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons: Cole, Caleb, Kolton, and Kaceton Strunk.
