Wilma June Lawson, 75, of Hartford City, Indiana passed away at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne.           

She was born in Oneida, TN on June 23, 1941 to Rosier A. Walker and Lucinda (West) Walker.  Wilma married Elwood Lawson on October 4, 1963 in Oneida, TN.  She retired from BRC in Hartford City after 10 years of service.

Wilma will be sadly missed by her husband, Elwood Lawson; daughters, Lisa K. (husband, David C.) Shields of Ligonier; Ronda A. (husband, William) Clark of Richmond; grandchildren, Andrew Shields, Brady Shields, Elishia Clark, Shaeanne Clark and Hashanna Clark; great-grandchild, Allister Shields; brother, Coyen (wife, Georgia) Walker of Oneida, TN; sister-in-law, Lovetta Walker of Bloomington; brother-in-law, William Watters of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.           

She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren K. Shields, sister, Mary Ann Watters, brother, Jimmie A. Walker and 4 infant brothers.           

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford city with Chaplain Chris Thurow officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
