Steven Brent Thompson Obituary

Steven ‘Brent’ Thompson, age 38 of Robbins, TN, passed away on Friday, June 08, 2018 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born October 8, 1979, he was the son of Steve and Debbie Welch Thompson of Robbins. Brent was a beloved husband, dad, son, brother and friend.

Brent was preceded in death by grandfathers: Clay Thompson and Charles Welch; uncles: W. C. Thompson, Dewayne Phillips, Alane Phillips, Gary Welch, Bobbie Welch and Garrett Litton; aunt: Wanda Phillips.

In addition to his parents, Brent was survived by his loving wife and best friend: Staci Celeste ‘Sass’ Thompson; two daughters: Karlie Nikole and Riley Bren; one son: Granger Vaughn Thompson; sister: Kelli Bailey and husband Ryan; niece Allie Rae Bailey; mother-in-law: Veneshia Hord and husband Travis; father-in-law: Dwight West; grandparents: Maxine Welch, Elsie Ellis, George and Rose West, Jr. and Eunice Buttram; brothers-in-law: Dylan Henson and wife Courtney and Gage Hord; nieces: Paisley and Keleigh; nephew: Walker; aunts and uncles: Geraldine and Dave Curthers, Lavada and Tom Wheeler, Sharlyn Young, Glenda Jo Phillips, Patricia and John Seale, Donna and Gary Frogge, Mike Welch, Regina Litton, Alice Welch, Rose Welch; his Takahata Family; and a host of other family and friends.

Friends may visit with the Thompson family on Sunday June 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elgin Church of Christ with Bro. Jim Day officiating. Music will be provided by the congregation.

Burial will follow in the Diamond Cemetery in the Wolf Creek Community. Pallbearers will be: Dwight West, Dylan Henson, Stevie Chambers, Jamie Thomas, Josh Thomas, Jason Turner. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gary Frogge, Mike Welch, Jeff Jeffers, Ryan Bailey, Travis Hord, Gage Hord; Justin Young and Travis Frogge.
