Shelby Jean McDonald Obituary

Shelby Jean (Pennington) McDonald, age 82 of Kingston, Tennessee, formerly of Oneida, was called home on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on September 9, 1936 in Oneida, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Clifton and Maxine (Anderson) Pennington. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wiley and Belle (Lowe) Anderson, Luther C. and Anna (Keeton) Pennington and sister, Anna Lovett.

She is survived by her loving sons, Michael McDonald and Joseph McDonald both of Kingston, Tennessee; grandson Christopher McDonald and wife (Jessica); granddaughter Gabi McDonald and great granddaughter Gracie McDonald, all of Kingston, Tennessee; nephews Payne Lovett and wife Sheila, James Lovett and wife Reecia; niece Kim Cross and husband Cameron, all of Oneida; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church.

Friends may visit with the McDonald family on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hodges officiating. Music will be provided by Rose West and Dallas West.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Carson Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael McDonald, Joseph McDonald, Christopher McDonald, Payne Lovett, James Lovett and Justin Lovett.

West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Shelby Jean (Pennington) McDonald.
