Sarah Catherine (Williams) Cornelius

Sarah Catherine Williams Cornelius, age 98 of Oneida, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center.  Born in Statesville, NC on May 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Joe and Sarah Eva Jackson Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moody S. Cornelius; sisters, Mary Estes and Margaret Miller; brothers, Frank, James, Charles, Roy, Gene and Joe Williams.

Sarah is survived by her son, Ronald J. Cornelius and wife Sandie of Oneida; grandchildren, Jeni Smith and husband Bo of Winfield, Amy Buttram and husband Wes of Oneida, Joe Cornelius and wife Mylinda of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Sierra Manis, Madison Smith, Ashten Bentley, Dustin Buttram, Adelyn Buttram and Evan Buttram; great-great grandchildren, Jack Manis and Carson Bentley; nephew, Tom Williams; as well as other family members and friends.  The family would like to extend a special token of appreciation to the staff and employees of the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center for their compassionate care of our mom during her extended illness.

Graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood, TN with Bro. David Barnhouse officiating.
