Ronnie Sexton

Ronnie Gene Sexton, age 69 of Oneida, TN passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on April 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Huzle and Gile Sexton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Boyatt Sexton and Opal, Wilda and Kenneth Claiborne, Bart Owens and Dewittea, Herb Sexton, Bill Sexton and Ella Mae.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Tessie Sexton; brothers, Dean and Dessie Sexton and James and Debbie Claiborne; sisters, Jenean and Jerry Pierce and Ellie Sexton Buttram; children, Dean and Louanna Sexton and Angie and Matt Smith. Also, Ronnie had a great love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kyra Hamlin, Bailey Sexton, Dean Sexton, Raylee Sexton, Jacob Smith, Eli Smith, Brynlee Day and Heavenly Grace. Special relatives include: Tommy and the late Deanna Pierce, Jody Smith, Crystal and Greg Letner, Milford Sexton, Casey Goodman, Bobby Clark, Michael and Savannah Smith and Deon Smith and kids and many others who were a special part of the family’s lives.

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Ferrazza officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Winfield. The family would like to say a special thank you to the pallbearers: Tommy Pierce, Melvin Stevens, Tim (Peanut) Claiborne, Cecil Coffey, James Chambers and Gary Claiborne.
