Rev. Chuck Duncan, age 66 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on September 12, 1953, he was the son of the late Rev. Charlie and Erie Slaven Duncan. Chuck worked in the funeral business for more than 24 years. Chuck was a born again Christian and ordained into the ministry July 6, 1975, after which he pastored several area churches including Mt. Pleasant, Lone Mt., Mill Branch, Landmark and Solid Rock Baptist Churches. He was co-founder of Macedonia Christian Center, a former member of the Oneida Fire Dept, Fraternal Order of Police and member of the Board of Directors for the Open Arms Ministry. Chuck was the current 6th District constable of Scott County. He was a former Scott County deputy and Civil Air patrol member.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ricky C. Duncan and brothers, Randy G. Duncan, Ronnie R. Duncan and Anthony Duncan; 2 infant sisters, Neva Jean and Ova Dean.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 29 years, Peggy Duncan of Oneida; sons, Tyler and wife Brittany Duncan and Tanner Duncan all of Oneida, TN; 3 precious grandchildren, Jaxon, Danica and Isaac Duncan; many special family members, friends and loved ones.
Friends may visit with the Duncan family on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee and Bro. Randall Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Neal and family.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Tyler Duncan, Tanner Duncan, Randall Duncan, Chad Duncan, Jason Watson, Michael “Booger” Watson, Charles Webb and Alan Jones.
After the service, Chuck’s request was cremation.
