Phillip Branham Johnson Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Phillip Branham Johnson announces his sudden passing on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the age of 37.  He was a member of the Anointed Church of the Living God.

Phillip will be forever remembered by his wife of 17.5 years, Kenya, and their children:  Savannah Marie, Sierra Grace, and Luke Branham.  He is also survived by his parents:  Jerry and Chris Terry; grandparents:  Johnny and Shirley Johnson; father-in-law:  Ken (Beulah) Strunk; mother-in-law:  Mary (Darryl) Harris; siblings:  Rebecca (Stephen) Pendergrass, John (Brooke) Terry, Monica Terry and Stacy (Chris) Norwood; brother-in-law:  Robbie Price; and by special friends Brice Harness and Randy Byrge, Stephen Mayfield, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.

Phillip truly engaged the game of baseball.  He could often be found on the field coaching little league even though he didn’t have a kid on the field.  The Cincinnati Reds may be losing their biggest fan.

Phillip had an unparalleled love for his kids.  He devoted much of his life to being at their sporting events, and was the go-to-person for fixing things.  He was a wonderful husband, son, brother and son-in-law.

Friends may visit with the Johnson family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Johnson officiating.

Entombment will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carson Memorial Mausoleum in Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  David Mayfield, Stephen Mayfield, Brad Mayfield, Jody Mayfield, Robbie Price and Jacob Phillips.
