Pete Waid Lawson, age 30 of Helenwood, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center. Born in Knoxville, TN on January 16, 1989, he was the son of Pete and Penny Seabolt Lawson. Most who knew him called him “Petey.” He loved working on vehicles. He was always smiling regardless the situation, and he could always bring a smile to your face. He graduated in 2007 from Landmark Christian School.
Petey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Mary Ann Seabolt, Silas and Lucinda Lawson and aunt, Susie Nagy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Susan, Waid and Krew Lawson, all of Robbins; mothers of his children, Angela Garrett and Amelia Burke; sisters, Trina Byrd and husband Mark of Oneida and Tiffany Seabolt of Robbins; nephews, Houston Byrd of Oneida and Dean Taubert of Robbins; nieces, Ashton, Triston and Marklee Mae Byrd; aunts, Tammy and Harry Gosnell of Nydeck and Ella Mae Phillips of Michigan; uncle, Troy and Pam Seabolt of Norma; and a very special friend and mentor, Mrs. Susan Phillips; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Lawson family on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Nagy officiating. Music will be provided by Shane and Judy Lowe.
Burial will follow in the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Steven Trotter, David Phillips, Dean Taubert, Tyler Seabolt and Ronald Nagy. Honorary pallbearer will be: Troy Seabolt.
