Mrs. Ortha Mae Martin Vanderpool, age 76 of Robbins Community departed this life to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in LaFollette, TN.  Born March 29, 1941, she was the daughter of Arthur and Arminda Martin.  She was a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church.

Aside from her parents, Ortha was preceded in death by her sisters:  Rosa Davis, Wilma Woodby, Jaunelle Reaneser, Roberta Grant and Sharon Carter; brother:  James Stanford; special nephew:  Mickey Stanford and Chuckie Martin; and special niece:  Renay Massey.

She is survived by her children:  Jeanetta Phillips and husband Lorinzo of the Ditney Trail Community, Loretta Davis of Robbins, Larry Chambers and wife Angie of the Ditney Trail Community, and Bridgett Hughett and husband of Mike of LaFollette, TN; special sister and partner in crime:  Carol Massey and husband Carl; brother:  Jack Martin and wife Luise; sisters:   Thelma Frogge and Billie Tucker; special family doctors:  Dr. Gary Well, and Dr. Brandon Cottrell and all her dialysis family and nurses at LaFollette, Wanda Smith; special thanks to Brenda and Steven Massey; special nephews:  Bill Carson and wife Midge, Obal Carson, Donnie and Ronnie Harness, Marvin Chambers and wife Sandy; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Vanderpool family on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCartt Cemetery in Glenmary, TN, with Bro. Charlie Golden officiating.  Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons:  Aaron, Joshua, Lorinza, Chauncey, Brian, Keven, David, Daniel, Allen, and sons-in-law:  Mike and Lorinzo.
