Milford Eugene (Red) Daniel, age 94 of Oneida, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Tennova North Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born March 16, 1923 in Helenwood, TN, he was the son of the late Doc and Josephine Daniel.

Red was a member of the Pine Creek Baptist Church.  He was also a proud US Army veteran of World War II, where he served with the 36th Infantry Division, 5th Army and 144th Infantry.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria June Marcum Daniel; special daughter, Barb Wright and husband Darryl; sister-in-law, Mildred Irene Marcum Foster; nephews, Gary Don Foster, Michael Suhar and Jim Robbins; nieces, Jo Ann Amburgey, Debra Kay Fry and husband, David, Shirley Murnahan, Thelma Farris, and Charlotte Robbins; as well as many, many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Daniel family on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida, Tennessee.

The Lord has called Red Home.

He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
