Michael Steven Jones Obituary

Michael Steven Jones, age 37 of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born February 15, 1982 in Jackson, TN, he was the son of Gene Jones of Huntsville, TN and the late Gail Ann Duerkes Jones. He was of the Catholic faith, having been baptized in the River Jordan in the Promised Land; and also a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his loving paw friend: Duke, his dog.

Besides his father, he is survived by his siblings: Douglas Gene Jones and wife Parisa of Sevierville, TN, Phillip Jones and wife Lori of Oneida, TN, Teresa Tritt and husband Steve of Jackson, TN, and Laura Jones of Huntsville, TN; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jones family on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 5 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville.

Graveside service will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Mossop Cemetery in Huntsville, TN.
