Michael Lynn Daugherty

Michael Lynn Daugherty, age 58 of Helenwood, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 17, 1960 in Scott County, Tennessee to Vaughn Daugherty and Louise Duncan Daugherty. Michael traveled the world with his parents before returning to live in Scott County in 1979. He was of the Baptist faith and he left behind a testimony of faith. Mike was a dearly loved father and grandfather. He was a man of many talents, he was a guitarist, he loved music, sports, carpentry, and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his father: Vaughn Daugherty; grandparents: Mary Alice Duncan and Rosellen Gilreath.

He is survived by his wife Melissa Daugherty; mother: Louise Daugherty; children: Haylee Myles and husband Josh, Heather Larae Daugherty and fiancé Chris Miller, Micah Lasae Daugherty, and Zachary David Daugherty; sister: Vonda Laxton and husband Mike; grandchildren: Summer Sexton, Savannah Gibson, Nolan Phillips, Aliviah Phillips, and Zayden Michael Daugherty; niece and nephews: Janna Laxton, Tyrell Laxton, and Caleb Laxton; special aunt: Faye Weston and many more special relatives and friends.
 

Friends may visit with the Daugherty family on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Creek Choir.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the King Town Cemetery at 1 p.m. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
