Michael Beets, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.  He was born May 14, 1965 to Patsy Beets and the late Thomas Lee Beets.  Michael graduated from Oneida High School and served in the United States Army.  He worked in maintenance for the Holiday Inn in Gatlinburg, drove a truck, and was an outfitter in Chattanooga.  Michael was also an avid gamer.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delmas and Estelle Laxton; aunt, Phyllis Newport Flatt; cousin, Tracy Newport; and infant sister, Sherry Ann Beets.

Michael is survived by his mother, Patsy Beets; sister, Darlene King and husband, Charles; brothers, Charles Beets and wife, Brenda, David Beets, and Thomas Beets, Jr.; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may visit with the Beets family on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating.

Following the service, Michael will be cremated.
