Mary Blevins, age 77 of Huntsville, Alabama and formerly Oneida passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at her home.  She was born July 31, 1940 in the Pine Creek Community to the late Lawrence E. and Pearl M. Watson Blevins.  Mary was of the Baptist faith and left Oneida and moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1961.  She was employed by the Gibson Restaurant as a waitress until she retired in 2012.  Mary was a giving person and loved her family.    

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Savannah Bell Watson and William Houston and Rosa Marcum Blevins; brothers, Billy Joe Blevins, Sr. and wife, Lorene Carson Blevins, JD Blevins; sisters, Barbara S. Blevins King and husband, Curtis, Ruth K. Blevins Burress and husband, Harold, Flonnie F. Blevins Phillips and husband, James H. Phillips; sisters-in-law, Carol Berry Blevins, Pansy Hall Blevins; brothers-in-law, John D. Jackson and William J. Bell; nieces, Jamie King, Samantha J. Bell, Jennifer Jackson, and Jackie Jackson Armstrong; and nephew, Billy Joe Blevins, Jr.  

Mary is survived by brother, James Roscoe Blevins; sisters, Lena M. Blevins Jackson, Nancy L. Blevins Ooten and husband, Junior, and Bonnie J. Blevins Bell; and many nieces, nephews, and all of her friends in Huntsville, Alabama.

Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Blevins Cemetery in the Pine Creek Community of Oneida.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
