Marshall Allen age 69 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  Marshall was born September 9, 1947 to the late Robert and Nannie Honeycutt Allen in Scott County and was a member of the Pentecost United Baptist Church since 1977.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ella Butler and husband, Thelbert; niece, Maudie Sexton; nephews, Shane Allen and Rylee Cotton; brother-in-law, Harold Rogers; and sister-in-law, Wanda Allen.

Marshall is survived by sisters, Katheryn Burchfield and husband, Charles, and Virginia Rogers; brothers, Harce Allen and wife, Rose, and Willie Allen; special nieces, Little Bears and Vick’s Salve; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Allen family on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Laxton and Bro. Charlie Golden officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Cecil Cemetery.  Marshall’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
