Loretta E. Crabtree, age 61 of Helenwood, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Scott County, Tennessee on June 6, 1957.
Loretta was active in the Big South Fork Saddle Club for many years and was a leader of the Mounted Patrol for the Big South Fork along with Jack Laxton. Loretta was community minded and was involved in many activities and fundraisers in Scott County over the years.
She was preceded in death by her mother Delphia Shoemaker Erwin Newport; stepfather: Morris Newport; father: James Calvin Erwin, and grandson: Jamison Crabtree; brother and sister-in-law: James Ray and Sheila Robbins Erwin, two infant brothers, brothers-in-law: Ray Seiber, R.T. Walden, Danny Goad, sister-in-law: Kathy Crabtree; mother and father-in-law: Becky & Joel S. Crabtree; maternal grandparents: George and Moda Shoemaker; uncles: Harley, Marley (Ruby), Delmer (Della) Shoemaker; aunts: Ada (Clifton) Goad, Flonnie (Delmus) Strunk, Ora (Jasper) Robbins; paternal grandparents: David and Della Davis; special Ky relatives: Wylie Edmond and wife Julia Cooper King, Nadine Hedge and Tracy King.
She is survived by her husband: Curtis Crabtree; son: Jamie C (Jennifer) Crabtree; grandson: Austin Crabtree; granddaughters: Shameka Seiber, Jaylie Marlow, Jemma & Jazmyn Crabtree; sister & family: Reta Erwin Seiber, Debbie, Raelyn, Logan Kelly, Ramey and sons, Zachery & Skyler Seiber; sisters-in-law: Virginia Erwin & family, Linda Strunk, Ruthie (Chuck) Mullett, Brenda (Thomas) Corder, Karen (Kevin) Erwin, Donna (Nick) Manis, Mike (Rena) Erwin, Tim (Stephanie) Erwin and Tamara Sexton; sisters-in-law: Francis Walden, Audrey Blevins, Lela Goad, Oma Chambers, Jewel (Harlin) Terry; brothers-in-law: Ezra & Clyde Crabtree of Jamestown, Brother Keith (Casey) Lowery of Smyrna, TN, Kevin & Paula Lowery of Mitchell, Ind.; Like a second mom to Loretta were Anita Lowery of Jamestown and Flaria Poston; Ky Family: Louise Callahan, Kay (Sam) Bailey, Larry (Barb), Lottie, JD (Robin), Bill (Regina) and Carl (Tracy) King, Sue Phillips; several Nieces, Nephews, close relatives and friends that loved her dearly; special friends and caretakers: Margie McGhee, Tammie Brady, Tracy Lowe; Loretta’s work family at First National Bank, Operations Center, where she spent over 42 years as an employee; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Crabtree family on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Brewster officiating. Music will be provided by the East Robbins Girls.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins, Tennessee.
