Lorene (Phillips) Gosnell

Lorene Phillips Gosnell, age 94 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born March 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ernie Newport Phillips.  Lorene was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church; and owned and operated Lorene’s Beauty Shop for many years in the Oak Grove Community of Oneida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:   Luther Gosnell; step-daughter:  Sue Phillips; and brother:  Chester Phillips.

Lorene is survived by her sister:  Betty Davis; niece and nephew:  Bill Phillips and wife Mary Ruth, Teresa Enloe and husband Randy; great nieces and nephews:  Olivia Roop, Owen Phillips, Windsor Phillips, William Enloe, and Andrew Enloe; son-in-law:  Ernest Phillips; granddaughter:  Tiffany Phillips and husband Dustin; grandsons:  Mark Watters,  and Mike Watters and wife Missy; great grandchildren:  Houston West, Cody Watters, Beau Phillips, Elijah Phillips, Presley Phillips, Kayla Watters and Gage Watters; as well as other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Gosnell family on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hodges officiating.  Music will be provided by Dallas West.

Committal service will follow in the Winona Cemetery in Huntsville, TN.
