Linia Kaye Chitwood Obituary

Linia Kaye Sexton Chitwood, age 60 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her home. Born June 4, 1959, she was the daughter of the late James Marley and Hattie Wilson Sexton. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her brothers: James, Eddie and Wayne Sexton; sister: Sheila Trammell; mother-in-law: Jo Chitwood; and nephew: Chris Sexton.

Kaye is survived by her husband: Joey Chitwood; sons: Jason Laxton of Oneida and girlfriend Jessica of Kentucky, and Dustin Laxton of Jamestown; step-son: Micah Chitwood and Alyssa of Wartburg, TN; grandchildren: Kaelie Vazquez and Eliazar of Huntsville, TN, Jacie Laxton of Oneida, and Jaggar Laxton of Oneida; great grandchildren: Junior, Alicia and Marisol Vazquez of Huntsville; father-in-law: Jack Chitwood; sister-in-law: Jerri West Murphy and husband Bruce; brothers: George Sexton and wife Sheila of Winfield, Ervin Sexton and wife Kathy of Winfield, Steve Sexton and wife Missy, and Tim Sexton and wife, special sister-in-law and caregiver, Lora, both of Oneida; sisters: Wilma King and husband Arthur, and special caregiver Lynn Acres and husband Charles, both of Oneida; special friends: Angie West Ellis and daughter JoJo; special caregivers and friends: Anna Rose Murphy, Connie Chitwood, Sandy Stewart, Jean Norman, Joann Adkins, Lorene Chitwood, and all of Quality Hospice of Jamestown; as well as many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chitwood family on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Campbell and Bro. Bill Murphy officiating. Music will be provided by Porter Mayberry and Ryan Sexton.

At the family’s request, cremation will follow.
