John Wesley Kennett, II, age 87 of Winfield, Tennessee, formerly of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home and went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2019. Born in Ludlow, KY on November 8, 1931, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Ruby Crabtree Kennett. He retired from the U.S. Air Force SAC Command after 23 years of service and retired from his own contracting business after 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Freeda Terry Kennett; son, Marc Allen; and brother, Ralph Blevins.
He is survived by son, John Kennett, III (Jane); daughter-in-law, Paula Kennett; brother, Howard Blevins; sister, Mary Terry, and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Rachel Kennett, Ryan Kennett, and John Kennett IV, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Kennett family on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Neill officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Winfield, TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
