Imogene Botts, age 68 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Scott County, TN on August 31, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Pennington and Dorothy South Hensley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Joshua Botts and Henry Hensley; 2 brothers, Toe Pennington and Elbert Pennington, Jr.; and 2 half-brothers, Cliff Pennington and James Pennington.
Imogene is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Tom Botts; 3 sons, Michael and Heather Botts of Oneida, TN, Jimmy Hensley and Craig Hensley of Muncie, IN; 2 daughters, Barbara and Chuck Claspell of Muncie, IN and Tammy Hensley Stone of Muncie, IN; 13 grandchildren: special grandson, Stephen Winningham, Amber Baumgartner, Gary, T.J. and Brandon Stone, Shiane Botts, Jacob Botts and Trenton Botts, Blakely Baumgartner, Evan and Landon Hensley, Chelsey and Katie Hensley; several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice McCowan; special nieces, Kayla Warmoth, Jamie Warmoth and Cindy McCowan; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Botts family on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Creek Baptist Church Choir.
Committal service will follow in the Botts Cemetery in the Annadell Community. Family will serve as pallbearers.
