Geraldine Jeffers

Geraldine Jeffers, age 78 of the Buffalo Bridge community, departed this life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side.  Born October 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Dutch Sexton and the late Genera Seabolt.  Geraldine was the oldest member of the Buffalo Bridge Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother and mamaw.

Mrs. Jeffers was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Jeffers; son-in-law Roger Honeycutt; brother Charles Buster Sexton; and sisters Marie, Ella Jean, and Betty Jane.

She is survived by four special loving daughters and sons-in-law Paula and husband Jerry Bond; Anna Honeycutt and neighbor Alton Harness; Darlene and husband Keith Massengale; Sharon and husband Michael Massengale.  Seven loving grandchildren Jonah and wife Amanda Bond; Jerri Lynn Bond; Heather and husband Mel Shannon, Melissa and husband Adam Stephens; J.C. Massengale and Michelle Morrow; Savannah and husband Matthew Kidd; Jordan and wife Kaprecia Massengale; brothers Donald Dick Sexton and wife Anna Rose; James Roy Sexton, sisters Kat Bailey and husband Daryl; Brenda Kay Strunk, twelve loving great grandchildren Braxton, Darian, and Colby Bond; Gracie, Taylor and D.J. Stephens; Kaylin and Khloe Shannon; Mariah Massengale; Tidus Kidd; Damion and Hananiah Massengale; one great great grandson Braylon Bond.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday evening, September 24, 2018 from 6 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 pm in the chapel of West Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Ashley Cooper, Rev. Michael Massengale, and Rev. Charles Lowe officiating.  Music will be provided by her grandchildren Savannah and Jordan.

Interment will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 12 noon in the Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonah Bond, J.C. Massengale, Jordan Massengale, Braxton Bond, Colby Bond, Mel Shannon, Matthew Kidd, and Adam Stephens.  Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Bond, Damian Massengale, Titus Kidd, Keith Massengale, and Braylon Bond.
