Gail Ann Duerkes Jones, age 66 of Huntsville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.  Gail was born on November 3, 1950 in Arlington, New Jersey to the late Charles and Antionette Mittelmeier Duerkes.

Gail was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: John and Chuck Duerkes.

Survived by her husband Gene Jones; sons: Douglas Gene Jones and wife Parisa of Dubai, Phillip Brian Jones and wife Lori of Oneida, and Michael Steven Jones and wife Heather of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughters: Teresa Jones Tritt and husband Steven of Jackson, Tennessee and Laura Gail Jones of Huntsville, Tennessee; brothers: Wayne Duerkes and wife Edna, Larry Duerkes and wife Beth, Russell Duerkes, and Raymond Duerkes and wife Delynn; sisters: Mary Gordon, Margie Reeves and husband Bill, and Alice Miller; special brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Vera Jones of Milan, Tennessee; grandchildren: Alex Jones, Claire Jones, Hadleigh Peevyhouse, and Trey Crouch; special pets: Casper Lou Jones and Katy Lynn Jones; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jones family on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral Mass at 2 p.m. at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Helenwood with Father Ray Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mossop Cemetery in Huntsville. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Jones, Phillip Jones, Michael Jones, Trey Crouch, Alex Jones, Steve Tritt, and Larry Duerkes.
