Donald Lee Jeffers Obituary

Mr. Donald Lee Jeffers, age 78 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 31, 1940 in Oneida, TN to the late Dester Cleo Jeffers, Sr. and Hazel Lucille Terry Carson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his biological father and mother: Lee Goodman and Susie Keeton Goodman, who raised him; father and mother-in-law: Olson West and Mable Terry West; half-sisters: Phyllis Weeks and Judy Colagure; half- brothers: Dester Jeffers, Jr. and Richard Carson; and brother in-law: Milford West.

Donald accepted Jesus as his Savior at an early age. He attended Paint Rock Baptist Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise West Jeffers, 3 sons: Vince Jeffers and wife Melissa of Jamestown, TN, Jeffery Jeffers and wife Cathy of Helenwood, TN, and Brian Jeffers and girlfriend Elaine Jones of Oneida; half-brother Dennis Jeffers and wife Tina of KY; half-sister: Jean Anderson and David of Oneida; sisters-in-law: Virgie Autry and husband Jake, Judy Sexton and husband Lewis and Wanda Jeffers of Mason, OH; brother-in-law: Charles West and wife Rose; brothers-in-law: Steve Weeks of Maryville; Grandchildren: Kaylee Jeffers, Jonathan Lane and wife Lavonda, James Lane, Lori Miller and husband Bill, Shannon Jeffers and husband Trevor Payne, Brenna Tucker, Tyrell Jeffers, Marie Roark and husband Toby, Bryce Jeffers, Conner Jeffers; Great Grandchildren: Lily Tucker, Raiden, Tripp and Marley Roark, Wyatt, Rook and Salem Miller; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jeffers family on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Barnes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
