Deborah Rose Hicks Dunn

Deborah Rose Hicks Dunn, age 61, of Winfield, TN, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born November 17, 1956, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Chrystal Clara Hicks.   Debbie loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and close friends.  She also enjoyed camping, cooking, and, as a lover of music, singing and dancing.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Hicks; her husband Hugh Dunn; 2 daughters LaCheaisa S. Hicks and Joannie R. Hicks; 1 brother Keith Wesley Hicks; and special nephew Dustin W. Terry. 

She is survived by her mother Chrystal Clara Hicks and stepfather Gary Olinger of Winfield, TN; 4 children:  Dwayne Kidd of Winfield, TN, Eric Hicks of Winfield, TN, Angela Stevenson of Lafollette, TN, and Coy Vanderpool; Brothers and sisters:  David Hicks of Winfield, TN; Donnie Hicks of Somerset, KY; Sandy Sharpe of Oneida, TN; Sherrie Corder of Florida; Steve Hicks of Oneida, TN; Kevin Hicks of Oneida, TN; and Bobbie Sue Brown of Virginia.   

Debbie was the Nana to: Tiana Kidd, Cody Kidd, Caitlynn Hicks, Jacelyn Hicks, Shaylei Stevenson, Westley Wallen, Zakary Wallen, Kieya and Colten Vanderpool, Caden Terry, Brayden, Landon, and Tyler Kidd, Olivia Hicks, and many other children she loved very much.  

Special nephew: Robi Terry; Special Family friends:  Rhonda Wilson, Robin Ann Owens, and Sarah Jo Webb.  

Friends may visit with Debbie’s family on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Tribute of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home given by Steve and Kevin Hicks.    Music will be provided by family and close friends.

Burial will follow in the Cross Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Active Pallbearers will include:  Dwayne Kidd, Eric Hicks, Robi Terry, Larry Wilson, John Harless, Hershell Stephens, and Tony Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will include:  Cody Kidd, Westley Wallen, Zakary Wallen, and Steven Hicks.
