Charles Price "Charlie" Jeffers Obituary

Charles Price (Charlie) Jeffers, age 73 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Charles was born in Oneida, TN on May 27, 1945 to parents: Wilbert J. Jeffers and Lucy Thelma Boshears Jeffers. Charles was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church, and was a long-time caretaker of the New Haven Baptist Church food pantry. He also served as Alderman for the Town of Oneida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Glen C. Jeffers, Jaymon (Jeff) Jeffers and wife Mary, Wayford (Pete) Jeffers, and Leonard Jeffers; sister: Bonnie June Lowe; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Howard and Myrtle Coffey.

Charles is survived by his wife of 51.5 years: Sandy Jeffers; son: Charles Derek Jeffers and wife Karen; daughter: Jill Jeffers Griffith and husband Eric; grandchildren: Bree Jeffers, Charles Derek (Chuck) Jeffers II and wife Jessica, Michael Jeffers and wife Kayla, Gary Jeffers, Gabe Jeffers and wife Shelley, Bayleigh Griffith, Zane Griffith and Lydia Kay Griffith; great grandchildren: Charlie Shae Jeffers and Josiah Jeffers; sisters-in-law: Pearl Jeffers, Judith Jeffers and Christine Jeffers; brother-in-law and wife: James and Lorraine Coffey; many nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jeffers family on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Derek (Chuck) Jeffers II and Charles Derek Jeffers officiating. Music will be provided by the New Haven Singers.

Burial will follow in the Litton Cemetery-Coffey Addition. Pallbearers will be Charles Derek Jeffers II, Michael Jeffers, Gary Jeffers, Gabe Jeffers, Zane Griffith and Glen Steven Jeffers.
