Betty June Chambers Sharpe passed from this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 83 in Locust Grove, GA surrounded by her family. Born in Scott County, TN on April 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Garfield James Chambers and Osey Violet Chambers of Little Creek. She was a wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She was a preacher and pastor’s wife for 32 years at Old Fashion Holiness Church on Central Ave. in Hapeville, GA, Trinity Holiness Church on Morrow Rd. in Forest Park, GA and Faith Church of God in Morrow, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Leona, Martha, Evelyn, Laura, Elma and Golda; brothers, Andrew, Junior, and Bud; and one daughter-in-law, Karen Sharpe.
Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Galen Don Sharpe; her sons, Randy Sharpe of Morrow, GA and Rev. Anthony (Sebrenia) Sharpe of Locust Grove, GA; 6 grandchildren, Mandy (Wesley) Johnston Jr. of Forsyth, GA, Jennifer (Eddie) Eubanks of Stockbridge, GA, Christy (Chris) Hall of Adairville, GA, Crystal (Mark) Rutledge of Oxford, GA, Ryan (Julie) Sharpe of Locust Grove, GA and Daniel (Rebekah) Sharpe of Cragford, AL; 17 great grandchildren, Oscar, Matthew, Christopher, Jessica, Rebekah, Kelly, Alana, Zachary, Hunter, Jacob, Destini, Daniel, Ethan, Emalee, Izaac, Logan and Matthias; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Sharpe family on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel and Ryan Sharpe officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Strunk Cemetery in Little Creek.
