Autho "Bo" Foster

Mr. Autho “Bo” Foster, age 88 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center in Oneida, TN.  Born August 27, 1929 in Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late Elzie and Letha Thomas Foster.

In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by his brother:  Arnold Foster of Phoenix, AZ and Robert Harold (Bob) Foster of Oneida, TN; grandparents:  Ephraim and Margaret Boyatt Foster and John and Emily Chambers Thomas.

He is survived by his wife:  Judy Hall Foster; son: Douglas Foster of Tampa FL; daughter: Sharon and Monty Lynch of Dayton, OH; grandson: Dustin White of Columbus, OH; nephews: Bryon Foster and wife Jimmie of Oneida, Robert Foster and wife Rachel; brother:  Elzie Foster, Jr. and wife Jean; sisters:  Ruth Malloy and Doreen Slaven, both of Ohio; and many other family members and friends.

Bo served as a medic in the Air Force during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he moved to Ohio and ran several successful businesses. When he retired, he returned to his ‘beloved’ Oneida.   He was an active member of the VFW and also served as president.  He dearly loved his fellow veterans. He and his wife Judy dedicated their life to the Veterans Administration.

Friends may visit with the Foster family on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Brother Christopher Sewell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.  Pallbearers will be: Bryon Foster, Daniel Foster, Robert Foster, Bill Boyatt, Bill O’Neill and Dustin White.
