Anna L. Posey Obituary

Mrs. Anna L. (Sheckels) Posey, age 77 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home. Born in Middlesboro, KY on April 10, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Doxie Sheckels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Posey; son, Carl Lee Posey; grandchildren, Heather Bridges and Michael Jeffers; brothers, Hayden Sheckels and Richard Sheckels both of Indiana; sisters, Ella May Snow of Harriman and Rose Pelkington of Indiana; father and mother-in-law, George and Maude Posey.

Anna is survived by 3 daughters, Ruth Harness and husband Travis of Helenwood, Carol Honeycutt of Helenwood and Veloris Posey of Winfield; 6 grandchildren, Cassie Abbott and husband Alax, Rose Goad and husband Brett, James Wesley, Trevor Harness, Jason Harness and Tony Jeffers; 3 great grandchildren, Amaya Pace, Rhett Goad and Jackson Abbott; unborn great granddaughter, Taylen LaRae Goad; brothers, Robert Sheckels and wife Debra of Fort Wayne, IN, Harold Sheckels and wife Norma of Freemont, IN; special son-in-law, Junior Honeycutt; special friends, Gale Lewallen and Judy Jones; and many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Huntsville Manor for taking such good care of our mom, your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.

Friends may visit with the Posey family on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Troxell Cemetery in the Highpoint community. Pallbearers will be: Alax Abbott, Chester Honeycutt, Jason Harness, Trevor Harness, James Wesley, Tony Jeffers and Brent Goad.
