Alpha Jean Byrd, age 81 of Huntsville, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.  Born December 16, 1935, Jean loved working in her flowers, going shopping, and talking with friends.  Jean was of the Baptist Faith.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents:  Oliver Byrd and Flossie Lowe Byrd; grandparents:  Sherwood and Parzida Lowe, and Henry and Daisy Byrd:  Children:  Ray Byrd, and Gay Byrd Scott; brothers:  Odeva Byrd, and Odie Byrd; sisters:  Deanna Byrd Lawson and husband Delmer Gene; Julie Hatfield and husband Walter; and brother-in-law:  Greg Robinson.

Jean is survived by her granddaughters who was her world:  Nikki Byrd and fiancé Billy Williams, Victoria Byrd and John Williams; great granddaughter, who was her pride and joy:  Charley Raylyn Williams; brothers:  Mack Byrd and wife Brenda, and Daniel Byrd of Huntsville; sisters:  Mae Arms and husband George of Huntsville, Sheila Robinson of GA, Glenna Scott and husband Bud of IN, and Ginger Byrd of GA; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Byrd family on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating.  Music will be provided by Cassie and Tannah Patton and the Mason Family.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairview Memorial Cemetery.
