Alice Marie Johnson

Alice Marie Johnson, age 71 of Oneida, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 31 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center. Born in Newport, TN on September 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert Keller and Ruby Kate Strange. She was a faithful member of Covenant Life Church in Norris, TN. Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Edd “Pop” Strange; sisters, Debbie Epley and Susie King; and brother, John Strange.

Marie is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Johnson; sons, Tony Johnson (Blanch) of Minneola, FL, Jeff Johnson (Tonie Lane) of Newport, TN; grandsons, Kyle Yackeschi and Geoffrey Johnson; brothers, Jack Keller (Renee), Larry “Herbie” Keller (Debbie), Bob Keller, Eddie Keller, Hack Valentine (Tresa) and Bobby Valentine; sister, Sandie Etherton (Ron), Judy Keller, and Ruthie McComb; brother-in-law, Steve Johnson (Jana) of Newport, TN; 7 great grandchildren; an array of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Johnson family on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. at the Covenant Life Church with Pastor Tony McAfee officiating. Music will be provided by Cindy McAfee.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Rest Haven Memorial Garden in Newport, TN. Pallbearers will be: Jack Keller, Bobby Valentine, Tony and Jeff Johnson, Kyle Yackeschi and Geoffrey Johnson.
