Adam Slaven Obituary

Adam Glen Slaven, age 43 of Pine Knot, McCreary Co., KY, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Born March 27, 1975, he was the son of Vela Slaven and Glen Slaven, and his late stepfather: Everett ‘Blackie” Overton.

In addition to his stepfather, he is preceded in death by his brother: Jerry Overton, sister: Helen Sweet; nieces: Vela Ann Overton, Jessie Shoopman and Barbara Hill; and brother-in-law: Alfred Rose.

In addition to his mother, Adam is survived by his daughter: Taylor Slaven; grandson: Matthew; sister: Lola Davidson; brother: Pharoah Overton; sister: Ella Rose; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Slaven family on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxell officiating. Music will be provided by the Hilltop Singers.

Burial will follow in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery in Robbins, TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
